Placement Assistance
Placement assistance is provided to students through
Professional Practice classes in all four years of undergraduate
work. These classes are structured to assist the student in
setting up their own healing practice or integrating their skills
into their current profession. Topics may include: How to Start
a Practice, Interfacing with the Medical Community, and
How and When to Make Referrals.
All graduates are assisted in setting up a healing practice.
The BBSH International List of Graduates lists graduates of all
BBSH degree and diploma programs, and has been provided in
response to tens of thousands of inquiries regarding Brennan
Healing Science Practitioners. The list is posted on the BBSH
website (www.barbarabrennan.com). It provides an effective
way for potential clients to find a graduate healer.
BBSH operates an on-site lending library for all students
out of the BBSH Logistics office during each Resident
Training week. All required textbooks and student
workbooks for each class year are available for student
lending. The BBSH Academic Programs manager is available
during each class week to answer students’ questions
regarding these resources.
The School has also entered into an agreement with the
Library and Information Resources Network (LIRN). LIRN is
a consortium of educational institutions that provides access
to multiple academic databases containing full-text articles.
Upon registration, students are provided with an LIRN access
code and detailed instructions for accessing LIRN resources
and technical support. During each Resident Training week,
support is also available at class to assist students in their
LIRN access and usage.
BBSH International List of Graduates
BBSH has the sole discretion to include, or not include,
a graduate student’s name on its brochures, literature,
advertisements, websites, and all other written or electronic
materials that are published by BBSH. The inclusion of a
graduate student’s name by BBSH, however, is not a guarantee
that the student has a right or interest in having his or her
name remain on BBSH’s brochures, literature, advertisements,
websites, or on any other written or electronic BBSH materials.
BBSH will, at all times, have the discretion to withdraw a
graduate student’s name from its written and electronic materials.
Student Records
Records of academic progress are permanently maintained
by the school, kept in a computer database at our administrative
offices and backed up nightly to assure their integrity.
In addition, hard copies of these records are kept on file
in the school’s administrative offices. Records of academic
progress are also furnished to the student. (See page 52.)
Financial Advising
Financial advising and questions regarding the BBSH
payment plan are provided to the student by the school
Controller. As BBSH is not accredited, students are not
eligible for federal financial aid.
Scholarships
BBSH offers a partial scholarship for Black and AfricanAmerican, First Nations/First Peoples, and First Generation
Refugee prospective students. The scholarship offered is a
40% discount off the regular tuition price. The school offers a
total of six partial scholarships for those who qualify. There
is an application process required. Scholarship applicants
must meet one of the following criteria:
1. At least one-quarter Black or African-American heritage.
2. First Nations/First Peoples must have the ability to show
tribal membership.
During Resident Training sessions, BBSH contracts with a
hotel for a block of rooms at a discounted rate. Students are
responsible for registering with the hotel and paying for their
room and meal expenses. (See Resident Training Facilities.)
3. First Generation Refugees are persons who are outside
their country of origin for reasons of feared persecution,
conflict, generalized violence, or other circumstances that
have seriously disturbed public order and, as a result,
require international protection. The School reserves the
right to determine which countries and hence which
applicants are considered to qualify for refugee status.
